At a press conference held at the Office of the Prime Minister on Monday, 23rd March, 2020, the Honourable Colm Imbert, Minister of Finance announced additional measures designed to alleviate the economic impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on the national community.

In light of the concerns surrounding possible temporary unemployment during the Covid-19 pandemic, the Government wishes to assure the public that it is currently in the process of implementing a temporary Salary Relief Grant of up to $1,500 for a period of up to 3 months.
As stated at the press conference on Monday March 23rd, 2020, and as reported in all media yesterday, the details, application procedures and qualification criteria for the Grant are expected to be finalized within 7 days, i.e. by Monday March 30th, 2020.
